Girls Who Wear Glasses

BOSTON, Aug. 7, 2004 -- "Girls Who Wear Glassses: The Wicked Wit and Wisdom of Dorothy Parker" by Provincetown, Mass., playwright Stuard Derrick opened Monday July 12, at the Payoment Performing Arts Center in North Truro, Mass.

Mr. Derrick conceived and directed the two-act entertainment which contains selections from Mrs. Parker's poetry, prose, drama, and drama and book reviews, along with many of Mrs. Parker's famous bon mots tossed off at the Algonquin Round Table and at other times.


Appearing in Girls Who Wear Glasses: Ellen Kane, Stuard Derrick (who also concieved and directed the piece), Kevin Shenck, Judith Partelow, and Lucy Bishop

Girls Who Wear Glasses will be presented again on Thursday, September 2, 8 p.m.in the Payomet Tent on Route 6 and Noons Heights Rd., North Truro, Massachusetts.
